Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer

Your impact:


As the Cybersecurity Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to use your strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills as well as your IT aptitude and knowledge to monitor, identify, and remediate all security threats to include patch validation and application; provide specialized technical and business knowledge in ongoing information security enhancement projects; contribute to the secure design, development, implementation, operation, and support of the organization's information protection technologies; and work closely with internal customers, vendors, and VP to assist in determining acceptable levels of risk for enterprise computing platforms.


The contributions you can anticipate making:


Contributing to the secure design, development, and implementation of the organization's information protection technologies.


Monitoring, operating, and supporting network security devices and applications (firewalls, intrusion detection/intrusion prevention, authentication, content filtering, enterprise security management, VPN, etc.) to include any modifications to the firewall rule-set, intrusions prevention signatures, monitoring of security logs, anti-virus/spyware, Internet proxy, operating system hardening (Microsoft and Linux), Active-Directory security, and incident response.


Working with IT, departmental managers and others to maintain the security of the organization's websites.


Providing security assessment of potential vendors, web applications, or third-party network connections.


Implementing and enforcing company policy with Information Security best practices while keeping in mind the business need and corporate objectives.


Providing documentation as requested to allow for written and graphical views of the entire organizational information technology infrastructure, and how it pertains to security including authentication, authorization, and accountability.


Researching, evaluating, and implementing new technologies, development tools, and commercial software products to enhance organizational security posture and functionality.

Experience:


Two years' experience with the implementation, operation, and support of server, workstation, networking, and security based technologies.


Experience utilizing the tools and processes used to expose common vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.


Experience in a depository institution is highly desirable.


Five years IT systems support experience.


Proficiency with scripting, HTML, MS-Office, and Visio are preferred.


Experience with the technological aspects of a depository institution is highly desirable.


Education:


Formal training and education in technology related studies. Related college degree preferred.
